"Princess Patricia's Light Infantry" is part of the Royal Canadian Legion, which distinguished itself in two world wars
and remainspart of Canada's armed forces still today.
The "Rickadandoo" is anickname for the PPLI's red, gold, and purple regimental flag; the original flag was hand-sewn
by regiment's patroness,
Princess Patricia of Connaught, the daughter of a Governor General of Canada (1911-1914) and grand-daughter of Queen
Victoria and Prince Albert.
